What We Do if it Snows
In the event of inclement weather, such as a significant snowfall, check the homepage of our website to view the open/closed status of PIBC before you leave home.
If the forecast calls for significant snowfall overnight before a scheduled league game or tournament, the Games Director will make the decision to close and inform the league/tournament convener(s) that evening that the following day’s sessions are cancelled.
a) If the snowfall forecast did not anticipate a significant amount of snow and it was seen as significant the morning of a league game or tournament, between 6-7 AM the league/tournament convener(s) must call the Games Director.
b) The Games Director will make the decision to stay open or close the Club for a set time and inform the league convener. The league/tournament convener(s) will call the team skips, who then will promptly inform their team members.
c) If the decision is to close, the Games Director will inform the webmaster to post a notice on the website.
If you are a league convenor, please make sure that you have the most update contact info for your league skips. You can contact Eric Leung if you have doubt, preferably over the phone.
