Parking Situation Update Jan 31, 2016

The board wants to keep members fully apprised of the paid parking pilot that will start on February 16th and the efforts we are making to get our members included in the 3 hours free parking that community centre patrons will receive.
We are posting the latest correspondence from PIBC President to Parking Project Lead, Jordan Lypkie. His reply to reply to PIBC's email.

Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics also emailed him, so his response was sent to both clubs.
We expect to meet with Jordan this week and will continue to advocate on our members' behalf.
We are grateful to the members who have already contacted the Mayor, Park Board chair and/or called/emailed 311. We would ask everyone who hasn't yet done so to write to them - esp. the Park Board Chair!

PARKING ACTION REQUIRED

On Friday Jan 23rd PIBC President Mary Ann Gilles met with the Executive Director of Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics club to discuss the impact of this decision on both of our clubs. The PIBC board met on Sunday Jan 25th to discuss what steps we can take to appeal our exclusion from the 3 hrs free parking offered to those who use Hillcrest Community Centre. Here is the list of actions the Board and members can take.

PAY PARKING UPDATE

Pay parking will come into effect on February 16th.

CLICK HERE TO READ THE LETTER FROM THE PARKS BOARD. Starting Feb 16th PIBC members will pay $3.50/hr to park and we do not get the 3 hours free parking that users of the main Hillcrest facility will receive. PIBC and VPG are not happy about this and efforts are being made to appeal the decision.

BOWLR NOTES

Scores can only be entered into the tablet on the day of the scheduled game. If you play a make-up game, email the results to bowlr@pacificindoor.com

If a game has a differential greater than 10, you must amend the score to show a +/- 10 differential by lowering the high score (eg, 21-4 becomes 14-4). In Singles set-play, full scores can be entered.

• Convenors should report entry errors to bowlr@pacificindoor.com

SPRING LEAGUES AT PIBC
